Art Block

I've been on this art block for a few years now. 2 years or almost 3 years. Once I graduated from high school, I lost the motivation to create. However, as I was looking through my VSCO and I thought it'd be a great idea to paint those photos. I was also watching some Bob Ross videos and those also gave me more motivation. The only problem is, I'm used to painting with acrylic paints and I want to use oil paints. I've tried using oil paints before and it was a mess. Maybe a second chance will make it better? Hopefully this motivation won't go away this time. Wish me luck! Little fun fact: I dressed as Bob Ross for Halloween but it wasn't complete because I didn't have the hair.

Good Food with Good People

Tonight I met up with my cousins to eat dinner at this Korean BBQ place called Hwaro. The whole night was filled with catching up with them and so much laughter. Since it was an all you can eat, we were ordering so many foods and just stuffed ourselves. And after a enjoyable night, I went home with a happy full belly and smelling like bbq.

Look Up

There's something about the sky that I adore. Whenever the sky looks pretty to me, I'm always taking a photos of it. I like to post most of the photos on an app called VSCO and I would like to share them with all of you! Here's a link to my VSCO

Sweet Mother of Sweetness Honey Toast

It was a hectic week and I needed the perfect place to study at. So I decided to have a little cafe called Cafe Darak. Its a cute little cafe with decors that consists of vintage antiques and with the dim lights, it makes you feel warm and cozy. But before I could sit down and start on my work, I went up to the barista to order some brain fuel food. I’m not a huge coffee drinker so I ordered a green tea ice blend and for dessert, I ordered their famous honey toast that everyone was raving about.
The honey toast is to die for. Its a slice of thick warm bread that is sliced into cubes with two scoops of vanilla ice cream, whip cream, and drizzled with honey. The outside was nice and crisp while the inside was very fluffy. Having the bread, ice cream, and the honey in one bite sends you to the heavens. It was perfect.
Cafe Darak has a lovely environment; perfect for leisure and work. Reasonable pricing in comparison to other shops. Delicious foods and friendly staffs. This will be my...

Have no fear, Autumn is here

Its October which means its autumn season! One of my favorite seasons! However autumn doesn't feel like autumn here in Vegas. I'm from northern California and I'm so used to foggy mornings, gloomy weather and orange/yellow leaves on the trees during this time of the year. When I was little I would always look forward to playing outside when it was a foggy day. Feeling the cold mist hit your face and playing with friends outside was the best. Hopefully one day I get to go back to my hometown during the fall and experience it again.

Saturday Sunday Funday

This has been the most enjoyable weekend I had in a long time. And it is exactly what I needed especially after a stressful week of preparing for this exam. A few weeks ago my cousins told me that they were going to spend the weekend here in Las Vegas and I was super excited because they are like sisters to me. I grew up with them and we share the most funniest memories together. They drove all the way from San Jose, California to Las Vegas and arrived on Friday night. Since it was a 10 hour drive for them,  they were tired so all we did was watch a movie and caught up with each other. The fun started happening on Saturday. I wasn't able to skip class on Saturday because of the IC3 exam but right after class I met up with the rest of the family at one of the casinos and the touristy things began. We walked from casino to casino and took photos. One pf my cousin's boyfriend is a photographer so he took amazing shots of the strip and everyone else. Later that evening, I tol...

Lost Hobby

I'm always interested in trying out new hobbies. This summer I tried embroidery and I really enjoyed it because it taught me patience. Since the process is really slow, I only made two embroideries. I hung one of them in my room and sadly I lost the second one that I made. I also picked up calligraphy not too long ago and I still need to practice more on it. One hobby that I would like to pick back up is drawing. Back in high school I was really into it! I would draw for my art class but also for my own pleasure. However, I lost all motivation and inspiration to draw. I bought a new sketchbook and some supplies, sat down with a blank canvas and nothing would come to me. Right now I am on a journey to get back the motivation and inspiration to draw again.
