Saturday Sunday Funday

This has been the most enjoyable weekend I had in a long time. And it is exactly what I needed especially after a stressful week of preparing for this exam. A few weeks ago my cousins told me that they were going to spend the weekend here in Las Vegas and I was super excited because they are like sisters to me. I grew up with them and we share the most funniest memories together. They drove all the way from San Jose, California to Las Vegas and arrived on Friday night. Since it was a 10 hour drive for them,  they were tired so all we did was watch a movie and caught up with each other. The fun started happening on Saturday. I wasn't able to skip class on Saturday because of the IC3 exam but right after class I met up with the rest of the family at one of the casinos and the touristy things began. We walked from casino to casino and took photos. One pf my cousin's boyfriend is a photographer so he took amazing shots of the strip and everyone else. Later that evening, I tol...

Lost Hobby

I'm always interested in trying out new hobbies. This summer I tried embroidery and I really enjoyed it because it taught me patience. Since the process is really slow, I only made two embroideries. I hung one of them in my room and sadly I lost the second one that I made. I also picked up calligraphy not too long ago and I still need to practice more on it. One hobby that I would like to pick back up is drawing. Back in high school I was really into it! I would draw for my art class but also for my own pleasure. However, I lost all motivation and inspiration to draw. I bought a new sketchbook and some supplies, sat down with a blank canvas and nothing would come to me. Right now I am on a journey to get back the motivation and inspiration to draw again.

The birth of Cheddar Chels

Hi, I'm Chelsea and I know the name of my blog is Cheddar Chels however, I don't really like being called "Chels". A friend of mine gave me that nickname because I was wearing a mustard yellow sweater and yellow is one of my favorite colors. He also knows that being called Chels makes me feel weird. Even typing it out, the computer recognizes that its wrong because its underlined red. Growing up, no one called me by that name. I was given other nicknames but never Chels.  Anyone can call me Chels, it's not that big of deal for me. Also, Cheddar Chels sounds better than Cheddar Chelsea :)

IS101 vs. Sleep

IS101 is the only class I have over the weekend. I'll have to get used to waking up early on a weekend because I'm so used sleeping in until the clock reaches double digits. It'll be a challenge but I'm sure I can pull through it. So far this class seems very manageable to go through on a Saturday morning. Its very laid back since we're all on the computers focusing on our assignments. And surprisingly this class goes by fast for me, so that's a plus! I look forward to waking up extra early on a Saturday and showing up to IS101 :)
